This July, we have partnered with Sarah Phocas, Shyamla Menon, and Hayley Kleyman from Jackson Hole Tutoring & College Counseling to host a "College Admissions Workshop" once per week for middle and high school students.
We feel very fortunate to work with such an extraordinary group of women. They have even been kind enough to share some of their resources with us. Below is a survey you may give your child or student to help them determine where they would like to apply to college.
College Survey:
Would you like to stay close to home? Go far away? Somewhere between?
Do you want to be able to drive home? Do you want to be near family?
Is there a particular region or state in which you want to attend college?
Urban (city) vs. Suburban (within 25 miles of a big city) vs. Rural (Jackson!)?
Large (>10,000), Medium (10,000 - 4,000) or Small School (>4,000)?
College (eg. liberal arts) vs. University (research focused)?
Are you interested in a school that has a religious focus?
Area of concentration (eg. technical school, fine arts, specific major)?
What types of activities would you like the school to offer?
Do you want a school with big name sports?
Do you want single sex or coeducational?
