Kindergarten! Ready? Set? Go!

Transition to Kindergarten is a big step for those going through it for the first or second time. There are many ways we can make this transition successful and fun!

To get us thinking about Kindergarten transitions, we found this chart of activities or skills to think about during summer.  Practicing an activity a day while playing a fun game would make this transition easier and fun for your children.

This transition before kindergarten is also the time for parents and teachers to check in about child’s strengths, talents, weaknesses, and personality.  Social skills such as feeling comfortable in a group, asking for help when it’s needed and knowing personal information, are important skills for young children to develop as they get ready for school.

Happy learning!
