BECOME A LITERACY AMBASSADOR

Teton Literacy Program announces a new way for volunteers to become involved in supporting the organization as Literacy Ambassadors. This program consists of a group of six to ten advocates who will promote our mission and interests throughout the Teton County community. Literacy Ambassadors will serve to inform their neighbors about TLP and to build relationships that encourage involvement and investment. In the spirit of networking, ambassadors will help establish alliances with businesses, clubs, and community organizations.

Potential members include current or past volunteers, tutors, students, parents of students, donors, and other TLP supporters. Ambassadors will have input, involvement and pride in building upon TLP’s 15 years of service to the community. Ambassadors provide the critical perspective as those directly involved in the delivery of TLP services as providers or recipients. Anyone interested in becoming a Literacy Ambassador should contact David@TetonLiteracy.org.

The Goal of the Literacy Ambassador Program is to promote greater awareness, communication, and interaction between Teton Literacy Program and people in the community in order to inspire their support of the organization and its services. Ambassadors will enable TLP to reach more people and in a very personal way.

Potential audiences include church groups, school groups, community agencies, fraternal organizations, elected officials, legislators, potential donors, local businesses, etc. Community groups interested in learning more about literacy needs and services in Teton County should call or email to arrange a presentation.

Key to Literacy Wall Tiles!

With the Pathway to Literacy project nearing completion, Teton Literacy Program is introducing a special commemorative opportunity, the Key to Literacy. This wall, located in the facility's main hallway, will display tiles recognizing its friends and supporters. Become a part of this project by purchasing a tile inscribed with your name, spouse, friend, loved one, business or pet. A Wall Tile Order Form is available to download by clicking on the link. There are still a few Pavers available on the Pathway... if you hurry, you might still get one! They are $250 a piece.
