Tutors
Tutors are the lifeblood of the Teton Literacy Program! All our one-on-one tutoring programs rely on volunteers who give of themselves to further the education of another community member. Thank you and kudos to each and every TLP volunteer.

TLP appreciates tutors committing to two hours a week for six months. Tutor Trainings are offered throughout the year, General Orientations once a month with two nights of follow-up training that focuses on either working with children or adults.

Volunteers track their hours and report them on the Tutor Hour Log (pdf) to report time spent working with students each month. These reports are crucial for continued funding of TLP's tutoring initiatives, and we appreciate tutors taking the time to fill out the form.

Tutors are invited to explore our resource lending library. Located in our office, the tutor resources include Oxford Picture Dictionaries, workbooks of varying levels, books-on-cassette, and reading series for comprehension. Tutors can check out as many books as they like for up to two weeks, and are welcome to copy worksheets and activities in our office. Every other month tutors receive a newsletter to keep them up-to-date on new resources, teaching tips, and program changes. The TLP staff is also a rich resource of information. Please call or come by the office for ideas and lesson plans.
