Giving children new books that are connected to their interests are a great way to keep kids reading. Reading 15 minutes a day is crucial for children to develop literacy skills. Reading together as a family is a great way to spend time together, increase language skills, develop comprehension skills, build empathy and strengthen a love of reading.

Use TLC’s library, the public library, and these resources to help your child find just the right books! Below are some great websites that can help you research a certain topic that your child is interested in. These resources are also helpful in finding "Book-Alikes" or "Read-Alikes", or rather books that are of similar level, topic, or writing style as other popular books your child has enjoyed in the past.
