Teton Literacy Center’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Laura West Soltau as the new Executive Director. Laura has been leading the organization over the past few months following the departure of Shan Kingston, whose husband recently accepted a position in Washington State. President of the Board, Bill Maloney, expresses his excitement regarding the decision stating “Laura has exhibited excellent management skills, is highly regarded by our staff, by our local educational organizations, and by the statewide organizations which support our education programs. She brings seamless continuity to the role of Executive Director.” Laura has been on the Literacy Center staff since 2007 having served as Program Director for the past 3 years, and most recently as Associate Director. Laura has her Master’s of the Arts in Elementary Education and her Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication and Non-profit Management. Laura will be on maternity leave through January. During Laura’s absence the talented, dedicated, highly motivated Teton Literacy Center staff will step up to support additional responsibilities and ensure high quality programs are delivered to the community. In addition, Carrie Boynton will serve as the interim Executive Director until Laura returns to a full time schedule. Carrie is an experienced Executive Director and is excited to work with Teton Literacy Center’s devoted team. Her email address is [email protected].
